A new commission and first solo exhibition in a UK public art organisation with London-based artist Ceidra Moon Murphy. Murphy produces work that explores the history of material culture, place and embodiment. Concerned with the way in which history is recorded and stored, and the technologies of power at play within these procedures, Murphy often starts with an object, a law, or a space.

For her Peer commission, Murphy is producing a new body of work that investigates the British government’s use of temporary legal spaces – known as the Nightingale Courts – transforming Peer into a forum of potential judgement, sentencing, and performance.
