Once you’ve arrived

The main entrance to Peer is located on Hoxton Street, in between the Post Office and Khadija's Garden.

Our gallery and workshop space are located on the ground floor, which is a level area and wheelchair accessible. The gallery has step free access and the front door is a width of 86cm.

During opening hours, the front door of the gallery is left open, weather permitting. If the door is closed due to weather or needs of the exhibition, you will need to use the buzzer to the right of the door to gain access to the gallery.

The front door buzzer is 139cm from the ground, and not at an accessible height for all. If you are not able to access the buzzer or would like support ahead of your visit please call or email the contact details above.

The gallery consists of two rooms with a doorway of 100cm separating the two spaces.

To access the rear entrance of the gallery, follow the road around the Post Office into the car park on the left. The entrance is located to the left. The door frame is 8cm off the ground with the rear door measuring 77cm wide. We offer ramp access for the rear entrance.

Assistance and hearing dogs are welcome throughout the space.

We aim to have all video content captioned. If this is not possible, transcripts can be provided.

We are able to offer British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation for events. We require two weeks' notice to review requests and confirm an interpreter. To arrange this please email shirilee@peeruk.org before your visit.

Quiet Spaces

Peer’s office is a flexible space that has been used in the past as a quiet space, prayer space, and baby changing area. Please ask gallery staff if you would like access to this space and we would be happy to accommodate.

Alternative Visiting Hours

We offer alternative viewing times for groups, including schools and universities and those that may benefit from alternative viewing hours.

Our quietest time of day to visit is generally on Wednesday afternoons.

If you would like to arrange alternative viewing hours or require any assistance regarding your visit please do not hesitate to get in touch. We would be happy to help support your visit to Peer.

Peer is working to improve accessibility and we will update this page as progress is made. We would like our building and programme to be as accessible and inclusive as possible.

It is important to us that we enact change to build a safer and more inclusive space. We learn through feedback, so please let us know if you have any comments by emailing shirilee@peeruk.org or call us on 020 7739 8080.
