Join us for a discussion between Beirut and London-based artist Dala Nasser and Director of SculptureCenter, New York, Sohrab Mohebbi, centering Nasser’s painting practice and her new body of work, Cemetery of Martyrs.
Cemetery of Martyrs is a major new co-commission produced by Peer, in collaboration with Nottingham Contemporary and KM21 The Hague, Netherlands. The commission departs from Nasser’s past works that explore the cultural and political histories of Southern Lebanon and wider West Asia; a region imprinted with the remnants of ancient societies, landscapes and geology.
There will be time for questions from the audience.

BIOGRAPHIES
Sohrab Mohebbi is Director of SculptureCenter, New York. Previously, he served as the Kathe and Jim Patrinos Curator of the 58th Carnegie International, Pittsburgh, 2022-23 and Curator at SculptureCenter, 2018-2020.
Dala Nasser (b. 1990, Tyre) lives and works in London and Beirut. Selected exhibitions include: Xíloma.
